The year of censorship is behind us, and at Peeps, we`re determined to make 2021 the year of freedom and, more importantly, the year of the digital revolution. Since our launch of the dWeb, we have moved our focus to several essential areas, that of which will help the dWeb grow substantially over the next 12 months. I wanted to dedicate our first post of the year to showcasing many of the projects we`ll be releasing in Q1 of this year, as well as a few other exciting projects we hope to officially debut later in the year. I believe that these systems will become pillars for the dWeb and will provide the necessary tools for developers and businesses to begin building powerful dWeb experiences. Together, these experiences can help free the masses from the authoritarianism we`ve seen of late, a pandemic we will certainly face again in the future.

The projects are as follows:

I. dDNS

We have been hard at work on a powerful decentralized domain name system built on top of the ARISEN global computer (https://arisen.network) that will ultimately act as the dWeb`s root domain name system. This will give way to many decentralized top-level domains (dTLDs), including: .dcom, .dnet, .dorg, .dinfo, .dgov, .dweb, and .dfollow.

This ins-and-outs of dDNS utilize much of DWEB`s foundational protocols, including dDatabase, dDrive, dWebTrie and ARISEN. You can read more about dDNS within the dWeb Whitepaper here: https://github.com/distributedweb/whitepaper#ddns.

You can also follow the development of various parts of the dDNS system at the following links:

- dDNS Root System (https://github.com/peepsx/ddns-contract)

- dDNS CLI (https://github.com/peepsx/ddns-cli)

Expected ALPHA Release is scheduled for January 15th, 2021.

II. dNames

dNames is one of Peeps` first app releases and will soon become the dWeb`s first domain name registrar. In the coming weeks, we will be releasing the ALPHA of the dNames registration system, which will allow anyone to register any one of the dTLDs mentioned in the previous section.

dNames BETA will allow users to register a domain`s authoritative NameDrive, and will also include management facilities for the creation of NameDrives and dDNS records. dNames will be a desktop application, but will also be accessible over the centralized web, as well as the dWeb. We hope to also release dNames for mobile devices by Q2 of this year.

Expected ALPHA Release is scheduled for January 15th, 2021.

III. PeepsID

PeepsID will be geared towards simplifying the account registration and authentication processes on the dWeb, eliminating the need for users to interface with their private keys during either process. PeepsID will also put in place an unbreakable barrier between users and the applications they use on the dWeb, bringing to life the security advantages the dWeb has over the centralized web (the advantages we constantly talk about).

Account registration will take place in the PeepsID app itself, although even if apps like dNames want to handle account or domain registration outside of PeepsID, the PeepsID application features the “Hancock API” which will allow outside apps to import private keys and other account information into PeepsID remotely — even if PeepsID exists on a totally difference device on the network. We`re looking to release PeepsID for desktop and mobile devices by February 2021, although one version may be released sooner than others (e.g., PeepsID for iOS is ahead of schedule and may debut by mid-January).

Expected ALPHA Release is scheduled for January 15th, 2021 through February 1st, 2021.

IV. dSocial

One of the most exciting application releases scheduled for Q1 is dSocial. dSocial will utilize dDNS and PeepsID to achieve true end-to-end decentralization and when it debuts will be the first truly decentralized and censorship-resistance social network. Thanks to the dWeb, dSocial will also be hacker-resistant and a permanent fixture on the Internet, one that tyrannical government had companies cannot control.

We`re designing dSocial as a decentralized alternative to Twitter, and you can learn more about the ins-and-outs of the social network by reading the dSocial Whitepaper at https://github.com/peepsx/dsocial-whitepaper.

We plan on releasing the initial ALPHA release of dSocial in March of 2021 for iOS, Android and the dWeb. You can reserve your dSocial username today at https://signup.dsocial.network.

Expected ALPHA Release is scheduled for March 30th, 2021.

V. dMessenger

dMessenger will be a companion application to dSocial and will be a truly decentralized messaging application. dMessenger utilizes a new protocol called DCIP (dWeb Chat Initiation Protocol), in addition to DWEB`S protocol suite, in order to facilitate a truly private and encrypted conversation between two or more peers. Public chat rooms can also be created and are available over dWeb network addresses, so that anyone can easily discover and join a public room. dMessenger may be one of the most important facilities on the dWeb, considering that it allows for undisturbed conversations that are both secure and private to the users involved in it.

It is imperative that communications during a digital revolution remain uninterrupted, and dMessenger will provide this type of convenience. Digital revolution or not, it`s the way communications should be.

We`re looking to release dMessenger by mid-April or early May of this year for iOS, Android and Desktop devices.

Expected ALPHA release is scheduled for April 16th, 2021 through May 5th, 2021.

VI. dSearch

One of the more interesting projects that we`re developing is dSearch. dSearch is a dWeb-based search engine that spiders and crawls the dWeb entire on a peer-to-peer basis. Like with other dWeb apps, this means dSearch operates on an entirely “serverless” basis and has no centralized infrastructure. dSearch is built into dBrowser (http://dbrowser.com) and is therefore able to spider the dWeb via the dWeb links visited by each dBrowser user. The spidered results are indexed in dSearch`s distributed has table (DHT) and are ranked using a custom algorithm that utilizes the number of peers that each particular dWeb network address boasts (via dWeb`s DHT) in addition to a relativity grade that is place on the content within the indexed page.

During it infancy, dSearch will merge results from the dWeb and centralized web, until such time that the dWeb expands with enough content to fill the results page for most major search queries. dSearch will debut in the summer of 2021 for the dWeb and will be deeply integrated with dBrowser.

Expected ALPHA Release is scheduled for July 4th, 2021.

VIII. PeerOS

We`re currently developing a dWeb-ready mobile operating system that we feel is around a year out from an actual ALPHA release. PeerOS will be much more than a mobile operating system that not only features native versions of dBrowser, dSocial, dMessenger and dSearch, but will also feature the world`s first app store for decentralized applications as well as access to dVoice, our new decentralized voice network.

PeerOS will be released on a new mobile device that we plan on announcing in Q4 of this year. Operating systems will eventually be used to ban dWeb-based applications, which is why PeerOS is such an important piece of the puzzle. PeerOS will be loosely based on the Android operating system and will likely be the only decentralized alternative to mainstream mobile operating systems like iOS and Android.

We are currently in the process of live-drafting the PeerOS whitepaper, which can be followed here: https://github.com/peepsx/peeros-whitepaper.

We hope to release a preview of PeerOS by Q4 of this year.

It was January 1st 2020 when I announced the launch of the dWeb in a post titled “The Dawn Of The dWeb” (https://steemit.com/@arisenio/the-dawn-of-the-dweb) and on July 4th, 2020, it finally came to fruition. Much has changed since that post, and along the lines of what I have predicted for years, but one things hasn`t changed: our dedication to the fight for online freedom. Like last year, this year we are again announcing the launch of many solutions, only this year, we have a powerful and unbreakable foundation to build upon. While nothing is written in stone, we continue to research and brainstorm new ways to fight back against big tech and to help restore the visions our forefathers had long ago for We The People. It`s what makes the People`s Web such a powerful tool and something we can use to build just about anything, as you can see in the projects I just announced.

While these projects will certainly require quite a bit of manpower, we are launching a major advertising campaign aimed at freedom lovers from across the country in hopes they will help us expand our team and expand our resources as we prepare for what may be the most important fight for Americans since 1775. We will be announcing that campaign in the coming days and will be releasing several radio commercials that will be used to kickstart the campaign on multiple conservative channels.

Those of us who care about this amazing country need tech companies that we can rely on and tech companies that we can trust. Not just tech companies in-name-only, but ones that can truly compete with and surpass the tech giants that together hold monopolistic control over an entire industry. We built Peeps to be one of those companies and with the continued support from patriots like you, we can continue to fight big tech through the creation of decentralized alternatives to their solutions that we`re practically forced to use. The fight continues today, and it continues this year. I hope you will join us.
