We have worked extremely hard on a new decentralized alternative to the Internet, one that I’ve been speaking about for weeks. Well, today you can finally use it. Yes, you heard me right. We’re finally ready to debut the dweb:// to the world. Let me rephrase that. Today we’re starting a revolution to take back the Internet, once and for all, so I hope you’re as pumped up and excited as I am. It’s free for you to get involved and your support will allow the dWeb to expand across the globe.
NOTE: If you are unaware of what the dWeb is or how we’ve been rethinking the Internet, I recommend reading my post “Let Freedom Stream” (https://medium.com/peepsology/let-freedom-stream) for a full-blown explanation.
So what’s all the fuss about? Moments ago, we debuted the world’s first web browser for the dweb://, on MacOS, Windows and Linux. This means that people like you can now browse the dWeb and publish to it as well. Simply put, you can begin the process of migrating your websites and content to the dWeb. We have also began assisting companies and personalities from around the world with a full-blown migration from the centralized web. While this will certainly take some time, we have to start somewhere and as conservatives we must begin the process of protecting our companies and our online presence from those who want to silence us for our beliefs. Leftists from around the country say that they’re keeping a list of Trump supporters and we should probably take them seriously. We have been hard at work for four straight years to insure that we were ready for this moment. The launch of dBrowser simply couldn’t come at a better time but it’s just the tip of the iceberg. We’re launching much more than just dBrowser in the coming weeks.
So with all of that aside, why should you support the dWeb, how do you support it and how can you download it? Well, if the answer isn’t obvious, let me explain:
== Why Download dBrowser?
dBrowser turns your computer into a tower on the dWeb. Simply put, the more users who install dBrowser, the stronger the dWeb becomes. It’s important to understand that the dWeb is a peer-to-peer web that is completely server-less and that peers by default, keep records of who has what. Truly, you’re keeping a directory of all of dWeb`s peers, how to contact them and what they’re hosting. In truth, the peers of the dWeb divide the directory up in small pieces. The more and more users who download dBrowser, the smaller and smaller that piece of dWeb`s directory you will end up hosting.
This is what makes the dWeb so powerful and well.. unstoppable.
Oh yea, did I mention that you can browse the regular web from dBrowser too? It’s even more of a reason to ditch browsers like Chrome and Safari, where big tech is most certainly taking note of all of your daily activities. You should probably stop letting them do that, with dBrowser, you never have to worry about anyone watching you do anything.
== Are Files Stored On My Computer?
No. It’s important to note that you do not keep the files for websites or web applications on your computer, you’re only storing a record of who has what. Although you can choose to help “co-host” the websites you support. By default, you can only host the files of a websites or web application if you choose to. In other words, users of dBrowser do not automatically host files, they only temporarily download the files of websites or web applications they access.
== Is dBrowser Safe?
Yes. All of dBrowser`s code is open source and available at the following locations:
https://github.com/distributedweb
https://github.com/dbrowser
Take a look at the code for yourself.
== How Do I Download dBrowser?
Go to https://peepsx.com/dbrowser or http://dbrowser.com and simply click the Download button in the header for your operating system (it auto-detects your operating system) and run the installer like you would any other installer. Setting up dBrowser on your computer should be pretty self-explanatory but there are a few folks in our community who would love to assist you, if you run into any errors.
== Start Browsing The People’s Web
To start browsing the dweb://, open a new tab and select the “Peeps” website or one of the other websites in the “Bookmarks” section. If you selected the Peeps website, you are now viewing the Peeps website on the dWeb. Pretty cool huh? Well it’s just the beginning. Soon we’re going to debut decentralized domain names and so much more, so make sure you have auto-updates turned on — you won’t want to miss what we have in store for big tech.
NOTE: If you’re having issues, that’s the nature of the beast. We’re working through a few bugs here and there. If you do experience issues, download Telegram and join our Telegram room at https://t.me/peepsology. You can report your issue there and our community of developers can help get to the bottom of things.
It’s time to fight back folks. Spread the word. The revolution is on.
